Nurturing whenua, whānau & whakapapa
Te Mahi ā Nuku are Kaitiaki Whenua in the rohe of Ngāi Tamarāwaho, Tauranga Moana. We operate a native plant nursery and training facility.
As mana whenua, our focus is on kaitiakitanga; the care, rejuvenation, and sustainability of the local whenua. Guided by the traditional knowledge of our ancestors, we are regenerating the Kopurererua Valley, and reconnecting whānau with the whenua.

Kōhanga | Nursery
Our nursery is currently in development. When complete, we will grow native plants for local projects. We source seed from the Tauranga Moana rohe, then propagate and grow trees at our nursery.

Planting & Restoration Projects
We welcome opportunities to work collaboratively with like-minded individuals and groups on planning and implementing planting and restoration projects.

Wāhi Ako | Training
Learn the history of the local land, water and people. Understand our connections with the environment and how to nurture it for generations to come. Gain a horticuture qualification at the nursery.
